Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs v North Queensland Cowboys

Thursday May 11, 7:50pm AEST – ANZ Stadium

The model has declared the Cowboys the best bet of the week though Johnathan Thurston’s absence no doubt tempers that enthusiasm. The Cowboys have won four on the trot against the Bulldogs and have won and covered their last four at ANZ. The Bulldogs have struggled as a favourite at the ground, covering just 14 of 31. North Queensland have dropped three straight just twice since 2014.

Manly Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos

Saturday May 13, 7:50pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium

Brisbane are in red-hot form at present with four straight wins where they scored 24 or more in each. Their attack has typically been at its best against the Sea Eagles too with three straight wins over Manly at Suncorp by margins of 24-plus. The Broncos have covered 29 of 45 at Suncorp dating back to 2014. The bye was probably the worst thing for a Manly team finding some unexpected form so Brisbane look a quality play.

Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders

Sunday May 14, 2:00pm AEST – McDonald Jones Stadium

Newcastle have played Canberra as well as anyone in recent years despite winning just two games since the start of 2016 with a draw and an extra-time loss in the two meetings in 2016. Home underdogs getting more than two converted tries cover at 59% so that is a push for the Knights and Newcastle have covered 6 of 10 getting 12.5 or more.
