Melbourne Storm v North Queensland Cowboys

Sunday October 1, 7:15pm AEST – ANZ Stadium

The Grand Final is upon us and the team most expected would win all season sure seem destined to do so as the Storm march into the decider heavy favourites. Tackling the eighth placed Cowboys, who have enjoyed a fairytale run throughout the finals with three monster upsets, the Storm are short $1.30 favourites but the Model suggests even that is over the odds. The Storm have been enjoying a tremendous run of form with 10 straight wins – six of those by more than 18 points – capping off an incredible year. Melbourne finished the season ranked first in scoring and first in defence and farewelling Cooper Cronk, they will be well on-song. Melbourne have won five straight against the Cowboys and have covered five of their last six when favoured by more than eight points. This is the Storm’s coronation and it should be grand.
