Melbourne Storm v Brisbane Broncos

Friday September 22, 7:55pm AEST – AAMI Park

The model gives a slight lean to the Broncos in this one. The Storm have won 22 of the last 27 against the Broncos but Brisbane have won two of the last three in Melbourne and will be boosted by the return of Darius Boyd. The Storm have covered just five of their last 13 at home while Brisbane are 24-16 against the line interstate since 2014. The Storm have covered just two of their last eight finals.

Sydney Roosters v North Queensland Cowboys

Saturday September 23, 7:40pm AEST – Allianz Stadium

North Queensland have won both finals as a big underdog and can do it for a third straight time to make an unlikely Grand Final appearance. The Cowboys have covered 10 of their last 12 games interstate and eight of their last 11 getting a start of 6.5 or more. The Roosters have covered just one of their last five at Allianz favoured by more than a converted try and haven’t won by more than six points since Round 20. This shapes as a close encounter.
