Race 2 – Brighton 11:20am
2. Al Ozzdi: Didn’t show much on last month’s debut, but he was fairly prominent in the market for a Newmarket maiden, and he was a six-figure purchase at the breeze-ups, so he could prove to be a different proposition this time sporting a tongue tie. Last-time-out winner Tadleel is the obvious alternative under a penalty, with Fenagh another to consider up in trip.

5. Finale: Has shown marked improvement since sent handicapping, and she was value for extra when narrowly supplementing her Nottingham success at Sandown a fortnight ago. She was always holding on that day, and a subsequent 4 lb rise may well underestimate her, so holds leading claims bidding for the hat-trick. Bumptious responded well to cheekpieces last time and can remain competitive back in a handicap.

Race 3 – Yarmouth 3:15am
4. Imphal: has gone from strength-to-strength switched to handicaps this season, and the manner of his victory at Bath last time suggests that an 8 lb rise may not be enough to prevent this likeable type from completing the hat-trick. Orin Swift’s opening mark looks fair and he is marginally preferred to Veiled Secret and Chocolate Box for forecast purposes.
