Trading Update – 20th March 2017

Punting Form rated their confidence level as HIGH in the Slipper. They found the winner, She Will Reign and were bold suggesting to Lay Houtzen, Catchy and Pariah. The Riesling and Todman stakes continue to be the best lead up races.

The Betfair Insider started the weekend early with Happy Clapper romping home in the Newcastle Newmarket. He layed Pariah, Catchy, Hartnell and Inference with success, but missed with Winx. Tosen Stardom, Houtzen and Heatherly all failed as his back bets.

Bookies’ Bag went 4/7 on Saturday. They were tripped up by Theanswermyfriend and Two Odd Sox, with two other selections late scratching’s.

Winx drifted heavily from her opening price ($1.18 to a high of $1.35), as punters chanced her on the heavy 10. She closed a $1.30 BSP favourite and slammed the door shut on her wet ground doubters.

Bookmakers made a meal of the Ranvet Stakes market with Hartnell one of the biggest drifters ($2.02 to a high of $3.55), to close BSP favourite at $3.18. Most corporate bookmakers, including the TAB, bet to less than 90%, the green giant refused to chase Hartnell past $3.00.

In the final event at Rosehill, big punters locked horns trading the last favourite Pomelo heavily. The Gwenda Markwell trained Lope De Vega mare lead throughout to post her third straight victory. She was matched at $4.60 in early betting to close a rock hard $2.60 BSP favourite, with a Weighted-Average-Price (WAP) of $2.98. The volume ranked her as the third highest winner traded Australia wide.

Top five Winners by volume traded – 1. Winx  2. Russian Revolution  3. Pomelo  4. Theanswermyfriend  5. Shoals

Chelsea v Man Utd – Chelsea continue their good record at home and were the highest traded winner by volume worldwide in their 1-0 FA Cup victory early last week. High $2.30 Low $1.76 WAP $1.92

A huge week for In-Play traders at the Indian Wells Masters with Tomas Berdych $1.01, Grigor Dimitrov $1.06, Andy Murray $1.02 and Marin Cilic $1.03 all beaten In-Play at poison odds.
