Race 1 – Yarmouth 11:15pm
9. Via Serendipity: Was well-fancied to make a successful racecourse debut at York last month and was still travelling strongly when disputing the lead with two furlongs to run.
He ultimately found a pair of match-sharp rivals too good on the day, but the form of that contest is beginning to work out well (winner followed up in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster) and natural progression should make Via Serendipity extremely difficult to beat here. Hyde Park can give him most to do.

Race 4 – Sandown 12:50am
3. Yorker: Shaped well when second in the Group 3 Strensall Stakes at York last month and is entitled to improve considerably with that first run for over two years under his belt.
That form leaves him 2 lb clear of all bar Mustashry on Timeform ratings here and – a dual Grade 1 winner for the Geoff Woodruff stable in South Africa in 2014 – Yorker is expected to show the benefit of that recent outing and can open his account for the in-form William Haggas at the second time of asking.

Race 6 – Sandown 2:00am
5. Acrux: Showed much improved form when getting off the mark on his most recent outing at Wolverhampton, travelling strongly into contention as the field turned into the straight and appearing to have plenty in hand as he edged clear under a hands-and-heels ride.
He remains open to more improvement after just two starts and – a half-brother to the very smart Main Sequence – Acrux is fancied to make a successful handicap debut here, with the consistent Both Sides feared most of the remainder.
