Racing on Wednesday night returns to Launceston with the Magic Millions 2yo and 3yo races the features on the night. The Alpine Eagle @ Armidale Sydeston Night Cup will also take place with the winner earning ballot-free entry into next week’s Launceston Cup.
Launceston hosts an 8 race card on Wednesday night on what should again be a firm surface with fine weather forecast. The rail goes out to the 6m position which can start to suit those near the lead and make it hard to come wide.
Racing on Wednesday night is in Launceston with the running of two feature races, the $50,000 Luxbet Stakes at WFA for the sprinters and the $50,000 Steve’s Liquor Thousand Guineas for the fillies. The track is currently a Soft 5 but with good weather forecast expect it to be another firm and true racing surface with the rail out to the 3m position.
Racing returns to Launceston on Wednesday night for an even 8 race program which features the Ensign Lodge Alfa Bowl for the 2yos.
Thoroughbred racing on Wednesday is in Devonport with the running of the $100,000 Simons Design Centre Devonport Cup. The 9 race program is very competitive with considerable depth to all of the races which should make for a challenging day for punters.
Thoroughbred racing is on Friday this week in Hobart with the running of the Listed $100,000 Cascade Draught Tasmanian Guineas for the 3yos and the $30,000 Brighton Council Brighton Cup which will grant ballot free entry to the Hobart Cup for the winner.
