TASRacing: Hobart, Sunday March 25th 2018

Racing returns to Hobart on Sunday with a 7 race card kicking off at 1:00pm. The meeting is highlighted by race 6, a 1600m Benchmark82 set to run at 4:00pm where stablemates Beaufort Lad and Zatacla are expected to fight out favouritism after good runs in last month’s Mowbray Stakes.

Race Assessment: Hobart Cup

"The likely winning standard of this race at the weights to be carried will be at least 96 and potentially higher. There are a number of horses with competitive ratings either within or just below that mark."

Race Assessment: Hobart Guineas Stakes

"I’d expect the winner to rate in the 88 - 89 range. This is the first try at this distance for most of the runners so there are a few queries. Historically the Victorian form is a bit stronger than the local Tasmanian form & I’d expect this to be the case again."
