Star NZ filly Orchestral is a commanding favourite for the Oaks at $1.85, while a clash of two brilliant mares in Via Sistina and Pride Of Jenni awaits in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Meanwhile, the $4 million dollar ‘The Quokka’ will be held for the second time at Ascot on April 20. Local mare Amelia’s Jewel is the antepost favourite at $4.00, with King of Sparta and inaugural winner Overpass also well in the market.

What a start to the 2024 AFL Premiership Season it’s been! We predicted it to be very even, and that’s certainly been the case with reigning premiers Collingwood starting the season 0-3, their opponents in that Grand Final Brisbane starting 0-3, Adelaide surprisingly 0-3 also while at the pointy end both Geelong and Fremantle remain undefeated after many doubters in the pre season!
‘Gather Round’ takes place for the second straight year in Adelaide (April 4-7), while Essendon and Collingwood will resume their rivalry on ANZAC day at the MCG (April 25) in what will be a defining month of football.

April means The Masters! Golf’s biggest occasion takes place at Augusta National (April 11-14) with millions tuning in around the globe.
