Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 27th August below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Caulfield Race 1 – #2 Sebrikka

Walsh Says: “This filly is fresh today at 1400m in a race where she’s likely to sit well back. I expect this run to be a ‘tune up’ for something deeper in her preparation.  The favourite Leotie was impossible to miss last start, she savaged the line and I believe there should be a bigger gap in price between these runners.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 5 – #1 Under The Louvre

Swannie Says: “Has been well beaten in his past two first up runs. He natural pattern is ‘get back’ and at Caulfield it’s hard to win from there. Looks far too short in a classy field.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 5 – #1 Under The Louvre

Oke Says: “Group 1 winner resuming with 59kg. He’s a bookies horse who always gets well back and runs on, usually at a short quote. It’s no different here and he’s likely to settle last. Will need everything to go right to win at 1100m.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Caulfield Race 1 – #2 Sebrikka

Saber Says: “In a very skinny race Sebrikka has come up unders at 2/1. She’ll be back and wide and runs into a very smart horse from the Henry Dwyer yard named Leotie.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 4 – #5 Fledged

Seal Says: “Lost his rider in his his first steeple race last Sunday and now faces well experienced opposition. Happy to risk at odds on and staggered he’s opened up as short as 1.60.”

PETER MCCORMACK (WA)

Belmont Race 2 – #7 Pounamu

McCormack Says: “When you’re on a good thing stick to it! Poor Pounamu was an absolute moral beat first up which now makes it five consecutive starts as beaten SP favourite. I’m going to keep riding the ‘gravy train’ and lay it heavily as it will be back and buried in the pack from barrier three.”

TREVOR BURROWS (WA)

Belmont Race 3 – #2 Senso

Burrows Says: “Has gone around in everything except the Melbourne to Warrnambool bike race of late and is no doubt ‘giddy’. On a more serious note it looks a big risk at 2200m and I’ll be laying it each/way with the belief it can be unplaced.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Morphettville Race 2 – #1 Honey Steel’s Gold

Walters Says: “Will start odds on in a small field of only 5 runners. Eric Musgrove has three of the other four runners and I expect they’ll make it difficult for the favourite.”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Rosehill Race 8 – #3 Allergic

Cook Says: “With heavy rain over the past week he can’t see the track improving beyond a heavy 9. Allergic has come up $3.40 early favourite and although he’s proven on a soft, we can’t be sure he’ll handle the heavy. Respecting the Kris Lees import who may end up the SP favourite.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Rosehill Race 6 – #9 Snoopy

Dwyer Says: “He was a massive ‘go’ first up and looked very unlucky. This time he’s drawn inside on a very wet Rosehill track that’s likely to stay heavy. This is a deeper race and $3.50 is no value.”
