Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 4th June below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Sandown Race 4 – #1 Turnitaround

Walsh Says: “Has the widest draw on Saturday and still carries the top weight after the claim! Has come up $2.80 which seems short given this race looks an afterthought with other runners now set to peak in their preparations”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Sandown Race 3 – #2 Divine Mr Artie

Swannie Says: “Yet to win beyond 1200m and was stopping last week at the end of the 1400m trip. Although the race might not look deep on paper this horse has to be a risk at $3.00 to win over a mile.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Sandown Race 4 – #1 Turnitaround

Oke Says: “Although this horse is chasing four wins on end, I’m keen to take him on. He’s in up in weight but back in distance. He’s drawn wide and may struggle to take up a good position as a result. Looks a strong race”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Morphettville Race 6 – #4 The New Boy & #5 Rocket Commander

Saber Says: “The New Boy is a big query on soft going, has been up for an eternity and is better suited at 1400m. Rocket Commander is a mare down in class but naturally rising in weight. She’s under the odds based on previous Balaklava form and like The New Boy has also had plenty of racing. Combined they take up around 60% of the market so laying both is like laying a $1.65 favourite.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 1 – #5 Bajour

Seal Says: “Has come up short in tougher races this preparation with no weight on his back and is a big query on rain affected ground. Rises in weight and only win at this distance was in much weaker company. Big risk at $2.80.”

TREVOR BURROWS (WA)

Belmont Race 1 – #1 Next Generation

Burrows Says: “Got the cash when $21 into $12 last start when everything strangely fell into place for it.  Neville Parnham trained colt and they rarely win when they come up this short ($2.50) at their next start.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Morphettville Race 2 – #4 Love Days

Walters Says: “In a small field with four legitimate winning chances she may not get a soft run from barrier six. Jacob Rule will be in two minds from out wide and at $2.20 I’m risking both horse and rider to come unstuck.”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Rosehill Race 1 – #1 Legarity

Cook Says: “Happy to oppose Legarity in the first race. Won’t get an easy time up front with speed drawn to his inside and out meaning he’s unlikely to lead. Is under the odds at $3.80 with Koby Jennings on, in a race with a handful of winning chances.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Rosehill Race 1 – #6 Nonpareil

Dwyer Says: “Godolphin runner who has looked good at both career starts to date. $3.30 in early markets is a good lay as he’s drawn the inside on a wet track. Main dangers look to be Legarity and Blazing Steel.”
