Posted: April 29, 2016

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 30th April below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Caulfield Race 7 – #2 Unbreakable

Walsh Says: “Which of the Godolphin runners to lay today? Happy to settle on Unbreakable rising in distance and meeting a field of up progressive stayers. After all claims this runner carries the top weight and has drawn barrier 13. Darren Weir has multiple winning hopes and the Loyalty Man form line must be respected.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 2 – #8 Tarquin

Swannie Says: “Every chance last start and couldn’t reel in the winner. Is yet to win beyond 1500m and tackles older horses for the first time. No value at $3.80 and expect him to drift heavily.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 4 – #4 She’s Miss Devine

Oke Says: “Had every favour winning last start and meets a stronger field this time in despite rising in weight. Dropping back from 1300m to 1100m a major concern and I’m keen to take this mare on appears at $3.00.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Doomben Race 6 – #1 Fell Swoop

Saber Says: “Short odds on with a month between runs since the Group One TJ Smith in Sydney. Might not be fully wound up here and meets some seasoned WFA performers. Expecting him to drift from $1.65 in early betting.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 1 – #5 Master Of Arts

Seal Says: “Lightly raced Weir runner that rises to 2400m for the first time and more importantly significantly jumping in grade. Is no value at $3.00 with almost every runner in the field a strong winning chance.”

TREVOR BURROWS (WA)

Belmont Race 1 – #8 Diraja Jewell

Burrows Says: “Has opened $3.30 in early betting and looks a great lay at that quote. Had a soft lead on debut and was easily overcome, has drawn more favourably and gets a slight weight swing but don’t think it’s enough to change the outcome here.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Morphettville Race 6 – #2 Rageese

Walters Says: “Brad Rawillier will be in two minds after drawing wide in barrier 13, does he go forward or back? Always a difficult decision and he’ll be afforded no favours in running by his opposition. I expect Catch A Fire to stalk him and he looks the value runner.”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Hawkesbury Race 3 – #1 Radcliffe

Cook Says: “Looks under the odds ($2.70) off the back of his last start win as a result of a 10/10 James McDonald ride. That form looks suspect as the runner up has failed since. Meets a stronger field here with multiple winning chances.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Hawkesbury Race 1 – #5 Atom Eve

Dwyer Says: “Undefeated Filly that looks set to start around the $2.50 mark. She’s first up here on a new track, has drawn an inside gate and Kayla Nisbet will have her hands full in a tactical affair. Keen to take the filly on.”
