Bookies’ Bag: On Course Bookmakers’ LAY Nominations Saturday 28th May

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 28th May below.

Sandown Race 8 – #8 Lord Durante

Walsh Says: “Will be going after Lord Durante in a big open field. He’s drawn barrier one and is likely to lead against the fence. I’d prefer to be with horses running on, and well off the fence. 10 of the 14 starters have a winning hope!”

Sandown Race 1 – #3 Gingerboy

Swannie Says: “Only slightly worse off at the weights but still happy to oppose at $1.50 as I’m expect big improvement from Arch Fire and King Of Dudes.”

Sandown Race 9 – #6 Show A Star

Oke Says: “Has a habit of being slow away, add a wide draw and 58kg and he’s immediately a risk. Had every favour last start off a soft draw which won’t be the case here. Big risk at the price.”

Randwick Race 7 – #8 Raw Impulse

Saber Says: “Up in class and distance which may suit. However 1st go right handed in Aust against some classier opposition. Prepared to risk at current 1.50 – 1.60 quote.”

Morphettville Race 4 – #3 Evil Dreams

Seal Says: “Meets similar company as last time but only drops 2kg. Was in better form last preparation and can make a strong case for five other runners in this event. He’s a great risk at the early market price of $3.20.”

Belmont Race 5 – #5 Romelo

Burrows Says: “There’s a lot of depth to this race and I can’t get it anywhere near the $2.20 on offer with the leviathan corporate bookmakers. Our Mate Al represents great value in the race at $9.00.”

Randwick Race 2 – #2 Beau Tirage

Walters Says: “Plenty of speed drawn outside him so the apprentice will need to fly the gates to hold the fence. Of the three shorties in the race he has the most negatives.”

Randwick Race 9 – #5 Bullrush

Cook Says: “On pace runner chasing five straight wins. Rises in grade, distance, weight and will need to work early to find the lead from barrier 15 with Koby Jennings on board. He’ll be a big loser in our book.”

Rosehill Race 5 – #3 Inz’n’out

Dwyer Says: “Has run two good races this time in and will be around $3.00. He’s drawn barrier one and takes on three very smart horses such as I Am Zelady, Princefamous and Oxford Poet. Looks short enough in a tricky race.”
