Posted: March 24, 2016

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 26th March below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Caulfield Race 7 – #6 Tried And Tired

Walsh Says: “Had all the breaks last start and will need to work harder this time to take up a forward position. Expecting Charmed Harmony and Coronation Shallan to lead setting the race up for the backmarkers. Had his birthday last start and I’ll get my money back from laying him last time.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 6 – #1 Lucky Hussler

Swannie Says: “Has been freshened up after six starts between 1400-1600m and it’s hard to think he’ll be sharp enough at the end of 1200m as he was last year. Looks under the odds.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 5 – #1 Typhoon Tara

Oke Says: “First up with 60.5kg with Miss Promiscuity & Sabatini both utilising claims. Poorly weighted and prefer her second or third up out to 1400m.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Caulfield Race 3 – #10 Testability

Saber Says: “Looks tested on the rise to 2000m for the first time and also rises in class. That’s usually a proven formula for failure meaning the $3.20 on offer is under the odds. Respecting Pindan Pearl & Magnus Slipper.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Oakbank Race 6 – #2 Husson Eagle

Seal Says: “Freshened since a flop in a hot form race at Caulfield. Has drawn barrier one ensuring he’ll be buried well back on the fence. Will need his best form and plenty of luck to beat this field and looks no value at $3.60.”

PETER MCCORMACK (WA)

Ascot Race 2 – #1 Uncle George

McCormack Says: “Meets stronger opposition than last start and rises in weight. Not convinced dropping back in distance will suit him and his wide draw will be the final nail in his coffin.”

TREVOR BURROWS (WA)

Ascot Race 4 – #1 Liten In My Veins

Burrows Says: “Odds on and undefeated after two starts. Although he possesses a strong turn of foot he’s yet to put away a field of high quality opposition which he faces here today.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Doomben Race 2 – #1 Sir Moments

Walters Says: “Class horse lumped with 61kg in a small field that gets back in his races. This race looks to lack genuine tempo favouring front runners. Keen to risk him at the short odds. ”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Rosehill Race 3 – #3 Messene (E/W)

Cook Says: “In form but won’t get an easy time up on speed with plenty of pace in the race. Yet to win over 2000m and this looks no easier task then last time.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Rosehill Race 8 – #2  Solicit

Dwyer Says: “In great form at her past three starts and meets Coolmore Classic runners well at the weights. She’s now having her fifth run this preparation and has drawn wide with some progressive mares in the line-up. At $2.60 I’m happy to risk her this late in her preparation.”
