Posted: May 13, 2016

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 14th May below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Caulfield Race 6 – #1 Unbreakable

Walsh Says: “Is under the odds at $2.60 after getting every favour in running last start. There’s more speed in this race, he’s been assigned top weight and yet to be proven over 2000m. Must go in at the price.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 6 – #1 Unbreakable

Swannie Says: “Was a 10/10 ride from Craig Williams last time winning over 1800m. Now rising in distance with an apprentice rider on board and I’m not convinced he’ll run a strong 2000m. Unbreakable is breakable!”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Caulfield Race 2 – #1 Blue Tycoon

Oke Says: “Hayes & Dabernig have two runners in the race and this runner looks the biggest risk at the price. Needs to improve his race manners drastically this time in to win races in this class.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Morphettville Race 7 – #6 Charlevoix

Saber Says: “Happy to risk at south of 3/1 set weights in a deep field with new form lines. Five weeks between runs is a risk although Mick Kent can defy common logic. Will settle back and expect him to drift on race day.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 1 – #1 Morvada

Seal Says: “Front running horse that looks a big risk at the price ($2.30) despite dropping in class. 1600m is rare air for 2yo’s and very strange things happen. LAY, LAY, LAY!”

TREVOR BURROWS (WA)

Belmont Race 5 – #8 Military Ruler

Burrows Says: “Had a charmed run in transit last start beaten in a BM72 as favourite. This looks tougher and Pike followers will fall into the short odds once again leaving money in the bag for the good guys….”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Scone Race 5 – #1 Spill The Beans

Walters Says: “In a race with a handful of chances he looks rock bottom odds after his win on speed at Hawkesbury when the track favoured leaders. Scone has a reputation of throwing up big results in features and this colt looks ripe!”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Scone Race 2 – #3 Mogador

Cook Says: “Hype runner that comes unstuck regularly with his get back and run on style. Looks a set up race for multiple runners so very keen to be against him at $3.50 in early betting from barrier 15.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Scone Race 1 – #3 Duca Valentinois

Dwyer Says: “Punters love the O’Shea / James McDonald combo so no doubt the punters will ‘truckload’ this gelding for that reason alone. I’m against it from barrier eight carrying 60kg rising in distance. Chris Waller has two runners engaged that looks hard to run down.”
