Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 25th June below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Flemington Race 2 – #4 Telopea

Walsh Says: “Rises to open company ‘Saturday’ grade and may find a heavy track which makes $2.50 seem rock bottom odds in an open race. ”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Flemington Race 6 – #8 Euro Angel

Swannie Says: “Poorly drawn in barrier 17, rises in class (BM 78 to Open) distance (1400-1600m) and Weight (53-57kg). Taking those four factors into consideration $3.00 looks well under the odds in an open race.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Flemington Race 4 – #1 Spieth

Oke Says: “First time up the Flemington straight is a big risk for any horse. He’s a big gangly type that may not handle it. There’s plenty of handy gallopers engaged and he’s spotting them plenty of weight. LAY, LAY, LAY!”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Flemington Race 2 – #8 All About Rhythm

Saber Says: “Meets Telopea 4kg worse for being beaten at Bendigo so can’t possibly see her turning the tables on that mare here.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 5 – #2 Volcanic Ash

Seal Says: “Rises in grade despite crossing from Melbourne to Adelaide. Has produced a win on a heavy track but that was in a weak BM64 very early in his career. Is a big risk at $2.50.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Flemington Race 2 – #4 Telopea

Walters Says: “In a race with a number of chances this runner looks tight in the market possibly due to the ‘weir factor’. Plenty of runners will improve into this and keen to lay early with a big drift likely closer to the jump.”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Randwick Race 6 – #6 – Elle Lou

Cook Says: “Chris Waller trained runner who impressed winning at odds two starts ago at this track. She’s yet to win at 1400m and despite not rising in grade this looks a much stronger race. We’re happy to lay her at $3.00 in early markets. ”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Randwick Race 2 – #3 Russian Revolution

Dwyer Says: “Snowden trained runner who impressed at a Canterbury midweek race winning deservedly as a result of a protest. Has come up $3.00 against Conchita, Infra Dig and Monton Fork who all have run well in Saturday class. He looks under the odds on face value so I’m happy to oppose.”
