Posted: June 17, 2016

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 18th June below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 2 – #2 Nesbo

Walsh Says: “Rises in weight, maps well back in running and only beat a moderate field first up. Prepared to risk at $3.50 second up at a distance he’s yet to win at.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 3 – #7 Raw Impulse

Swannie Says: “Failed in Sydney, now drops back from 2400m to 2040m around Moonee Valley. Longeron and Turnitaround are both in white hot form and the track will be favouring horses on speed.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 2 – #2 Nesbo

Oke Says: “Up in weight and distance with a wide draw. He’ll be forced to go back and come around the field which looks too big an ask against this field.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 9 – #10 Voodoo Lad

Saber Says: “Looks a big query in this class and races at the valley for the first time, He also prefers wet tracks which might be against him on a likely rain affected and shifty surface at the valley.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 5 – #1 Heartz Ablaze

Seal Says: “Up in weight with the wet track against it. Looks no value at $3.50 with an apprentice replacing a more experienced rider.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Ipswich Race 7 – #7 Trubia

Walters Says: “Is at the bottle end of the market in a very even contest. Likely to settle 3 or more pairs back on the fence which may be a disadvantage. Expecting it to drift from $3.00 quite heavily.”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Rosehill Race 2 – #5 Sebrina

Cook Says: “Bjorn Baker is flying and whilst this runner was a dominant winner last start we’re prepared to risk her rising straight to 2000m. She looks no value at $2.50 and we’re happy to stand her one out.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Rosehill Race 2 – #5 Sebrina

Dwyer Says: “Impressed leading and winning on a rain affected tack last start. Has come up $2.50 in early betting against two tough Chris Waller trained stayers in a race where Foreign Prince will lead. I’m happy to be with Waller in this event.”
