Race 8 Meadows Conference & Events Centre
#2 Blazin’ Bomber
He returned to form with a bang at Cranbourne last month with a sensational all the way win in 29.64. Last start at Geelong, he met some very pacy types at an unsuitable distance in a heat of the Geelong Gold Cup and flew home late to just miss. He looks very well drawn close to the fence and should get a nice passage through on the first turn with White Bandit reliably quick early, and should run 2 or 3 lengths off the fence on the first turn. This should allow plenty of room for ‘The Bomber’ to push through and explode away.

# 2 Fiamatta
I have never thought this chaser is suited by city tracks and this tight circuit is no help. I also prefer him drawn off the track as he tends to go around others rather than underneath them. The 525 metres seems to be his absolute limit and I expect him to tire late. His latest win at Bendigo was a relatively weak race even though it was a Grade 4/5 race. There are too many negatives on this chaser tonight for mine and he will be too short on the exchange.
