Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 9th June below.

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Flemington Race 2 #6 Lycurgus

Given the run of the race last start in a bench mark 90 now up to open class from an awkward draw makes it a risk at short odds.

Kevin Saber (VIC)

Morphettville Race 8 #12 Mintha

Won 1 from 10. 3yo filly who has raced mostly in higher class. Drawn wide. query wet. Lay at the red figures!

Jonathan Walsh  (VIC)

Swan Hill Friday Race 6 #6 Inn Keeper

The time honoured Golden Topaz is a solid field this year. I believe the class in the race is near the top of the weights and the big straight will give every horse a chance in running. Inn Keeper has been going very well but faces another rise in class in the Topaz. He’s drawn wide and will have to be strong late to win. At the current quote of $3.20 on the Exchange I will be putting him in.

David Dwyer (NSW)

Randwick Race 7 #1 Destiny’s Kiss

Is class runner who loves it wet. However, big weight and an inside barrier mean it’s a good risk at $3.30

Barry Cook (NSW)

Sunday – Kensington  Race 3 #2 Tactical formation

Beaten at short odds last where it seemed to have every possible hope, so at around the five dollar mark happy to oppose.

Norm Oke (VIC)

Flemington R3 #4 Mintha

Not getting carried away by its 10-length win in a weak maiden at Balaklava. Was ridden out to the line and time was just ok comparatively for the day. Far too short here and happy to take it on considering the wide gate and multiple other chances in the race.

Peter McCormack (WA)

Belmont Race 7 #1 Vital Silver

Raspberries to the corporate bookmakers who have gone up 148% on this race. Vital Silver has opened $3.03 in that market which is well under his true value. He’s a top horse but this is a deep race. I expect Tayla Stone to work forward from the wide barrier and there a few who will be pushing up underneath it. It may have to do too much work, and this looks a tough assignment regardless.

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 3 #2 Diamond Tycoon

Got all the favours last start, Tougher race, risking at $2.40.
