Lay Nominations, Saturday 9th December 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday  9th December below.

Peter McCormack (WA)

Ascot Race 1 #10 Street Fury

McCormack Says: “Last start winner of a moderate midweek event who faces a much deeper race here. Winning chance, but is under the odds for mine.”

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Pakenham Race 2 #6 Whyouask

Swannie Says: “Drawn inside and always gets back in the field which is not ideal. Will need plenty of luck coming from the back and is a risk at $4.00.”

Kevin Saber  (VIC)

Coming Soon

Jonathan Walsh  (VIC)

Pakenham Race 3 #7 Fontein Lad

Walsh Says: “Has come up favourite in what looks to be an open field. He has been beaten by others in the field and can be a bit of a bridesmaid.”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Rosehill Race 1 #1 Gongs

Dwyer Says: “Talented filly who bolted in at Canterbury beating a Saturday winner by five lengths. However, is top weight drawn wide in a classy field at Rosehill and may not be able to lead easily. At $2.20 I am happy to see how good she is.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Newcastle Race 1 #1 Rugosa Rose

Cook Says: “Even though her horses are airborne at the moment, we’re going to take on the lady off the turf here.  This 4yo mare looks very plain and a month between runs looks far from ideal.”

Steve Walters (TAS)

Pakenham Race 7 #2 Grey Lion

Walters Says: “Always finds one a little better and expect that to be the case again. The top weight De Little Engine was massive last time and can only strip fitter.”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Pakenham Race 5 #2 Chamois Road

Oke Says “I think this runner has come up short in the early markets. Has been racing consistently but faces a stiff field here with black type performers all around him. Currently around the 4-1 mark and others appear better value to me.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 3 #2 Hussybay

Seal Says “Up in class, back in distance, risking at $2.10.”
