Lay Nominations: Saturday 4th February 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 4th February below.

JOHNATHON WALSH (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 4 #1 Jukebox

Walsh Says: “I always have to question ‘Glue on shoes‘, especially on such a young horse. On good ground at the short price of $2.40 I’ll be aggressively laying!”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 1 #2 Zasorceress

Swannie Says: “Looked good winning last start at Moonee Valley, but the speed was hectic which suited this horse coming from last. It Won’t be the same scenario here and at a short quote is very vulnerable.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 4 #1 Jukebox

Oke Says: “Is very short for a horse coming off a Geelong maiden win. Glue on shoes is another reason to query her so I am happy to take her on as favourite.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Moonee Valley (Friday) – Race 8 #9 Rock’n’rollrock

Saber Says: “3yo in open company for the first time after five weeks off. Rises 4.5kg from its last to 58.5kg. This is only a BM64 and despite being wide last start. I am happy to risk at $3.00.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville Race 3 #1 Yulong Yongxing

Seal Says: “Weir runner crossing the border with OK country form. This looks much stronger so I can understand the drift from $2.80 to $3.30 in early betting and its still unders.”

PETER McCORMACK (WA)

Ascot – Race 5 #10 Salorsci

McCormack Says: “Won his 3yo maiden impressively on debut by four lengths at odds on. Has been $3.50 into $2.80 early but although he shows great promise that debut rating doesn’t warrant such a short price against this field for mine.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Melton Harness – Race 6 #5 Speeding Spur

Walters Says: “Expecting frantic speed early and this scenario is likely to force him wide. As a consequence will have to go back which over the short journey will be a big ask!”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Randwick – Race 1 #2 Gold Ambition

Cook Says: “We laid this horse a few weeks ago when he was close to even money and was beaten. Since then he fell in against a field of walkers at Bathurst. Happy to let the punters on at its early quote under 4/1.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Randwick – Race 6 #3 Omei Sword

Dwyer Says: “Has looked very impressive in two preparations to date. However, it finds a top line bunch of 3yo’s here and the biggest improver will win. Is well under the odds at $2.50.”
