Lay Nominations: Saturday 3rd June 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 3rd June below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Moonee Valley – Race 8 #15 Overberg

Walsh Says: “He’s come up favourite in an open 2000m race. I believe he maps mid-field and is likely to find traffic on the turn. There are some improvers that will prove hard to get past and the addition of Blinkers looks a sign of desperation.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Doomben– Race 7 #2 Egg Tart

Swannie Says: “Nothing between the top two but a big discrepancy in the betting which makes the favourite far too short in betting. Being a month between runs might actually work against her at 2200m.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Moonee Valley – Race 8 #15 Overberg (PLACE)

Oke Says: “This horse is extremely short for one having its first start at the valley and it looks a very even race to me. Happy to take it on at the price and I’m laying it the place.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Moonee Valley – Race 1 #1 Wired

Saber Says: “Looks a false favourite stepping up from a $25k race at Wodonga, where she led on the rails and was beaten. Plenty of depth here with some first starters that look dangerous. $4.00 is well under the odds.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville – Race 4 #8 Gogo Grace

Seal Says: “Down in class but will get back. The key is how far away from peak for this runner is. $2.20 is rock bottom odds so happy to risk.”

PETER McCORMACK (WA)

Belmont Race 3 #5 Tommy Who

McCormack Says: “Sports the West Coast Eagles colours and like them is a ‘flat track bully’. Looks good in beating up weak fields when getting a soft lead but crumples in high pressure races like it did when beaten out of sight by Three Votes last start. Karlakee Miss and Captivated Point have better exposed form making Tommy Who a strong lay.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Belmont – Race 4 #6 Blackline

Walters Says: “On pace who looks to be a risk in a field with plenty of early speed. Race will be set up for something running on so happy to lay the odds on ($1.75).”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Rosehill – Race 5 #8 Picardy Rose (PLACE)

Cook Says: “Beat up an ordinary lot last start and will map last on the fence here. Has open up $7.00 so expect and big drift and we’ll be letting the punters on.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Rosehill – Race 2 #1 New Universe

Dwyer Says: “Has an outstanding record and looks to be the class runner. However, is a backmarker as the top weight. Happy to lay him aiming for three straight wins at $2.50-2.70.”
