Lay Nominations, Saturday 30th September 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 30th September below.

Peter McCormack (WA)

Belmont Race 1 #4 Wakan Tanka

McCormack Says: “Can fly the gates and has won both its trials, but looks like it might be vulnerable late. Always a bit of guesswork with the 2yo’s having their first start, but this one looks unders around the $3 mark.”

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 5 #1 Catchy

Swannie Says: “With the top weight of 58.5kg in a hot field I’m not convinced she can run a strong 1400m. Had a tough run last start and happy to lay at short odds.”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Randwick R6 #1 Chautauqua

Dwyer Says: “Best horse in race with a great Randwick record. As usual he’ll map last and this is not Everest day. Happy to risk at $3.30.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Caulfield Race 6 #3 Royal Symphony

Cook Says: “Love a hype horse and despite a big win I feel this horse is looking for further now. At even money looks a nice risk.”

Steve Walters (TAS)

Moonee Valley Race 5 #2 Jon Snow

Walters Says: “Impressive horse last preparation but a slow run race then a fast one could spell trouble for him at start number three. First look at the Valley and drawn wide all points to an excellent lay with Grand Final day still a start or two away.”

Jonathan Walsh (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 7 #5 Russian Revolution

Walsh Says: “No doubt this horse has ability but has drawn poorly Friday night. He could sit 4-5 wide on speed the trip. With this in mind he’ll have to be a tough horse to win.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 1 #2 Glam Guru

Seal Says: “Meeting a tougher field, won’t get its own way like last time and I’ll go down swinging again at $1.80.”

Kevin Saber (VIC)

Randwick Race 7 #1 Happy Clapper

Saber Says “No doubt he’s flying but carries the top weight in a race with three dangerous runners with 52kg or less. Egg Tart was stunning fresh, Tom Melbourne can lead and Comin’ Through was good into a cross breeze. Foxplay is another knockout!”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Caulfield Race 5 #1 Catchy

Oke Says “Looks an even race to me, the top weight heads to 1400m for the first time. I’m not convinced the barrier four will suit her and at the short quote I will be risking her.”
