Lay Nominations, Saturday 2nd December 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday  2nd December below.

Peter McCormack (WA)

Ascot Race 1 #1 See Me Sizzle

McCormack Says: “I’m not sure flicking ‘The Wizard’ (William Pike) in favour of a claiming apprentice enhances this (or any) horse’s chances. A bit of a one trick pony that will attempt to rack ’em, stack ’em and out sprint them. The small field will take the sting out of that tactic, and I expect to see Touch of Silver and No Say In It ‘sizzle’ past in the straight.”

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Sandown Race 8 #9 Night’s Watch

Swannie Says: “Up in class and gets back in the field. Battled at the end of 1600m last start and now out to 1800 makes it a risk at short odds.”

Kevin Saber  (VIC)

Sandown Race 8 #9 Night’s Watch

Saber Says: “Get back runner and only fair in restricted company last time. Despite likely improvement I’m more than happy to risk at $2.40.”

Jonathan Walsh  (VIC)

Sandown Race 8 #9 Night’s Watch

Walsh Says: “This horse has a number of queries Saturday, the distance, the track condition, the pattern of the day. At his current price I think he’ll be going in.”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Rosehill Race 6 #4 Savapinski

Dwyer Says: “Very impressive in last two Melbourne races, but finds itself in a tougher one here against horses like Fabrizio and Black and Gold. At $2.30 I am happy to test its class in Sydney. Yet to prove itself over 2000 metres in Sydney at the top level.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Canterbury (Friday Night) Race 1 #1 Higher Ground

Cook Says: “Looked to get all the favours last start and at the price it is ($2.70), will lay it to get the Christmas Turkey paid for.”

Steve Walters (TAS)

Rosehill Race 6 #4 Savapinski

Walters Says: “I believe this runner may not get a soft lead, if run truly it may just be suspect at the skinny odds.”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Sandown Race 3 #1 Mrs Gardenia

Oke Says “I know it’s a small field but she’s come up very short. Her form looks good on paper but I have some questions marks around the strength of it. 3kg claiming apprentice to take the ride in a race where rider tactics could decide the race.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 4 #1 Ozi Choice

Seal Says “Hasn’t won this year, up in weight, risking at $2.00.”
