Lay Nominations: Saturday 27th May 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 27th May below.

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Sandown – Race 5 #6 Goathland

Walsh Says: “I think one of Lloyd’s has come up unders. He’s second up over 2400m which is not uncommon for this stable but at $2.70 he looks rock bottom needing to improve several lengths to win this. I think he’ll be better for the run tomorrow so happy to lay him this time at the shorts.”

RAY SWANNIE (VIC)

Sandown– Race 6 #10 Plein Ciel

Swannie Says: “Just even first up and yet to win in open class. Sandown Lakeside doesn’t suit backmarkers which makes it a big risk.”

NORM OKE (VIC)

Sandown – Race 8 #4 Widgee Turf

Oke Says: “He’s been fairly disappointing after his early career wins, most expected him to win in better grade than this but he simply hasn’t produced. Although he has a decent weight swing against Zamzam I don’t think it will matter. There’s a few other chances so I ‘m happy to lay to get stuck into him around $3.00.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Sandown – Race 6 #10 Plein Ciel

Saber Says: “Looks vulnerable second up here in this class. Although he’s down in the weights there’s some tough old seasoned campaigners at their pet distance. $3.00 on a potential wet track after failing on the Heavy at the Bool.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville – Race 3 #1 So You Too

Seal Says: “Down in class but up significantly in weight. A disappointing preparation with six starts for no wins. Happy to risk again at even money.”

PETER McCORMACK (WA)

Belmont Race 3 #1 Madassa

McCormack Says: “Super impressive first up off an 18 month break when beaten a nose by First Among Equals in the Northam Sprint. Went up three ratings points despite being beaten which was harsh so now he must concede considerable weight to its rivals here second up. Cool Passion with William Pike and 3yo Sweet Ora with no weight look the main chances.”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Morphettville – Race 4 #5 Tidy Prophet

Walters Says: “Backmarker who’s likely to get shuffled well back from a tricky inside draw. In-Play would be an excellent trade with Lay at SP and trade out in the run!”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Randwick – Race 8 #11 Badajoz

Cook Says: “Meeting some handy sprinters here and its early quote of $3.50 seems gross unders with some multiple winning chances including a few roughies at big odds. Should drift!”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Randwick – Race 7 #6 Broadside

Dwyer Says: “Stayer on the quick back up who will be on pace and ridden by Tim Clark. Whilst that seems to sound OK I’m wary of him in this class stepping up to 2400m for the first time.”
