Lay Nominations: Saturday 25th March 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 25th March below.

Mornington – Race 4 #1 Eshitraak

Walsh Says: “Looked to have every chance last week and rises in distance Saturday. Might be looking for the paddock after a look preparation and happy to lay at less than $3.00.”

Moonee Valley (Friday) – Race 6 #10 Im A Star

Swannie Says: “Although she’s a G1 winner at the mile in spring I am not convinced she’s as suited here now with a smaller spread at the weights and drawn wide, being ‘the hunted’. $2.10 is rock bottom and she has to drift.”

Mornington – Race 5 #1 Striking Force

Oke Says: “Top weight on a soft track. Despite a tough win last start, I cannot see him repeating that effort again despite holding his form so deep into his preparation.”

Mornington – Race 8 #13 Red Is the Nose

Saber Says: “Unders here at the $4.00 against the boys at set weights from the wide barrier.”

Morphettville – Race 3 #3 Call Me Curtis

Seal Says: “Racing well but only a winner twice in 14 starts. Won’t find this any easier and will either go right back or be posted wide from his draw. At $2.80, he looks a good risk.”

Ascot – Race 3 #5 Blackline

McCormack Says: “Could not have been more impressive in winning a provincial maiden by nine lengths last start. Jumps straight to city 3yo class here and from a sticky barrier it won’t jump straight on the bunny as it has in its previous two starts. Has a massive boom on it and will start deep in the red (odds on). Keen to risk under those circumstances.”

Bathurst – Race 5 #10 My Sweetchilliphilly

Walters Says: “Keen to lay the favourite in the G1 Bathurst Gold Tiara final. Is unbeaten with huge winning margins but has led both outings. Second row draw will negate its gate speed and may be shuffled back with speed drawn outside on the front. Really like the six Lady Chatto to find the top and cause an upset.”

Rosehill – Race 7 #2 Foxplay

Cook Says: “Horse will start Unders after its impressive win last time overcoming interference. That win was against the ‘B’ graders so we are happy to the punters on at the shorts and pray for a result.”

Rosehill – Race 7 #2 Foxplay

Dwyer Says: “Was under whip at 500 last run and flew late to win. Happy to lay back markers on bog tracks.”
