Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 24th March below.

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Moonee Valley Race 6 #4 Spanish Reef

Swannie Says: “Won’t get an easy run on the speed and lucky to beat Samovare last start. Drawn out wide and looks a false favorite.”

Kevin Saber (VIC)

Mornington Race 3 #6 Gheeda

Saber Says: “Beaten on her merits at all four starts ($1.50 most recently). Better class field here including her conqueror Louie. Very short at $2.60 for a win price, I expected this price to place!”

Jonathan Walsh  (VIC)

Mornington Race 2 #7 Ashlee Marie

Walsh Says: “Up in class and racing against the males. Five weeks between runs must also be a query? Happy to lay as favourite Saturday.”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Rosehill Race 4 #1 Gailo Chop

Dwyer Says: “This horse has excellent Melbourne form and loves it wet. However, meets a good field and this is its first run in the clockwise direction. Has the best form but happy to oppose at odds on here.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Rosehill Race 3 #6 Alward

Cook Says: “Happy to let them on this Chris Waller stayer feel like it comes out of a lot weaker races than some of its opposition.”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Mornington Race 7 #11 King’s Will Dream

Oke Says: “I potted this horse last start and it won well, but I’ve still got a set against it. This time it is on the minimum handicap but faces a much tougher field, up from a Benchmark 90 to the Listed Mornington Cup and he has come up short price favourite. He also rises steeply from 1800m to 2400m. He is currently undefeated in Australia between 1200m-1800m, so in my opinion this really will be his acid test.”

Peter McCormack (WA)

Ascot Race 1 #6 Rebel Knight

McCormack says: “Looks a race with a host of chances. William Pike is jumping off and now has a tricky barrier to deal with. It must be the lay of the day.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 2 #3 Tunes

Seal Says: “Back in distance after running 3200m twelve days ago which makes it a definite risk at $3.20.”
