Lay Nominations: Saturday 24th February 2018

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 24th February below.

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Caulfield Race 3 #6 I Did It Again

Swannie Says: “Have fallen in to this horse its last two starts but never again. Travels well but finds nothing when it counts. Not even Oliver will get this over the line.”

Kevin Saber (VIC)

Caulfield Race 6 #3 Brave Smash

Saber Says: “Drawn wide and always seems to find trouble with its ‘get back, run on’ style. Looks very short and think Tosen Stardom is better suited and almost double the price. Also, wary the 3yo colts.”

Jonathan Walsh  (VIC)

Caulfield Race 1 #9 Bedford

Walsh Says: “Significant class rise and looks poorly weighted against more seasoned runners. Real acid test Saturday and happy to take on as favourite.”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Rosehill Race 3 #4 Sunlight

Dwyer Says: “Won magic millions easily and has won 3 from 4 starts. However, steps up to the ‘A grade’ here and will have to work to lead. At $2.90 happy to take on.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Goulburn R4 #7 She’s Demanding

Cook Says: “Been very disappointing this horse and feel like it’s stablemate has more upside so happy to oppose at its early quote.”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Caulfield Race 5 #1 Silent Sedition

Oke Says: “Comes up very short for a last start failure when favourite, looked to have every chance and didn’t finish it off. I’m laying her again.”

Peter McCormack (WA)

Ascot Race 2 #6 Showcase

McCormack Says: “Defeated in a midweek class three last start after being slow into stride from gate one and not finding a lot of room until late. Meets a handy field of 3yo’s here who collectively have more upside than the field she met last start. She has again drawn barrier one and with Pike on the sidelines she faces a difficult task here.

PS: Great ride by Brodie Kirby aboard Western Temple last week. Definitely a star on the rise.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 7 #2 Star Stealer

Seal Says: “Harder race, with plenty of speed inside, will be wide or must go back in good field, risking at $2.90.”
