Lay Nominations, Saturday 18th November 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 18th November below.

Peter McCormack (WA)

Ascot Race 3 #1 War God

McCormack Says: “Willing to risk with the apprentice on for the first time and up in the ratings.”

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Sandown Race 3 #2 Gallic Chieftain

Swannie Says: “On the seven-day back up for the first time with a gear change. First time over 3200m looks a big query and was shocked to see him come up so short at $2.30.”

Kevin Saber  (VIC)

Sandown Race 3 #2 Gallic Chieftain

Swannie Says: “Blinkers first time last week didn’t have the desired effect. Now clutching at straws applying the tongue-tie. Risk out to 3200m for a horse with tricks and very short!”

Jonathan Walsh  (VIC)

Sandown Race 7 #8 The Taj Mahal

Swannie Says: “Looks poorly in at the weights having only won a single race. Taking this poor winning record into consideration and racing against some class runners Saturday, I am happy to put in at around the $4 mark.”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Rosehill Race 1 #4 Easy Eddie

Dwyer Says: “Has been super impressive beating average fields. Finds itself in Barrier 1 in a race with plenty of pace and some good horses. At $4.00 happy to take it on.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Canterbury (Friday) Race 1 #4 Zeppelin

Cook Says: “Every possible chance it’s last two starts. Happy to accommodate the punters.”

Steve Walters (TAS)

Morphettville Race 4 #4 Desert Lashes

Walters Says: “Although this is a drop back in class, it’s a small but very competitive line up and looks a good lay at the even money ($2.00) quote.”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Sandown Race 3 #2 Gallic Chieftain

Oke Says “After missing out on a cup start this horse ends up in the Sandown Cup on the backup. He’s had a good prep but this feels like an afterthought and I suspect he could be over the top. I know Weir has a good knack of keeping them going, but this one has been up since May. He’s very short and I’ll be risking him.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville Race 5 #2 Hussybay

Seal Says “Getting up in class, even field with no speed so more than happy to risk at $1.80.”
