Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 17th June below.

NORM OKE (VIC)

Moonee Valley – Race 2 #1 If Not Now When

Oke Says: “Hasn’t won since its first two starts and probably still paying on the handicap for the early success. It’s quite short for a horse who hasn’t won for over 14 months and has never been to The Valley”

STEVE WALTERS (TAS)

Moonee Valley – Race 2 #1 If Not Now When

Walters Says: “Get back runner who may struggle first up at The Valley if leader dominated.”

CURLY SEAL (SA)

Morphettville – Race 2 #2 Super Haze

Seal Says: “Very easy run leading last time and looking at this speed map there’s plenty of early pressure. $2.25 is a great lay in the early market.”

DAVID DWYER (NSW)

Rosehill – Race 3 #2 Zamex

Dwyer Says: “Trained by Matt Dunn and an impressive winner here last start. Drawn the outside barrier here and will be near to last in the run. I am happy to oppose at $2.50 as it will need luck to win in this field spotting them all a start.”

JONATHAN WALSH (VIC)

Moonee Valley– Race 6 #1 Katsuro (Place)

Swannie Says: “Won in a blanket finish last start and goes up 4kg from the outside barrier with a new jockey. Can easily miss a place.”

BARRY COOK (NSW)

Rosehill – Race 7 #3 Badajoz

Cook Says: “Good run first up but had every chance. Yet to win second up and with an awkward barrier nine would rather be laying than backing at present odds.”

KEVIN SABER (VIC)

Moonee Valley – Race 8 #14 Data Point

Saber Says: “Hopelessly out of his class here and rightfully down in the weights, The trainer still claiming says it all. Probably needs a wet track and expected inside bias will not suit from Barrier 12 due to his get back style.”

PETER McCORMACK (WA)

Belmont Race 7 #1 Scales Of Justice

McCormack Says: “Not quite tongue in cheek but definitely clutching at straws a little bit. Class horse who looks the goods on paper. He did have a gut buster first up though, which can sometimes leave them vulnerable second up. Disposition was strong to the line last start and will appreciate the step up to a mile. If the stablemate I’m Felling Lucky could kick up and content the lead it would do Disposition’s chances no harm and make for an interesting race.”
