Lay Nominations, Saturday 14th October 2017

Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 14th October below.

Peter McCormack (WA)

Bunbury – Race 6 #2 Variation

McCormack Says: “Class horse resuming in preparation for group races in late November/early December. Has plenty of weight, an apprentice on for the first time, drawn out so will get back in the field. Can still win, but I am willing to lay it with its grand final still some way off.”

Ray Swannie (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 8 #6 Royal Symphony

Swannie Says: “Two million dollar race so having a throw at the stumps. Well beaten last start will get back also gear change. Looks a desperate move and will be a maximum”

David Dwyer (NSW)

Randwick – Race 8 #10 She Will Reign

Dwyer Says: “Champion Two-year-old taking on the top liners here. The first up win was fantastic and has drawn a good gate. However, $5.00 is under the odds in my opinion as she will get crossed at the start and be giving good horses a start.”

Barry Cook (NSW)

Kembla Grange – Race 2 #1 Pleasantries

Cook Says: “Surprised this horse is ‘odds on’ beating a low calibre field last start. Happy to open the bag!”

Steve Walters (TAS)

Doomben – Race 5 #10 Nilette

Walters Says: “I believe is a good risk as may be left a sitting shot in front in a very even field.”

Curly Seal (SA)

Morphettville – Race 6 #4 Hussybay

Seal Says: “Up in distance, not as well suited as last start, risking at $2.40.”

Kevin Saber (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 3 #3 Desert Lashes

Saber Says “Up to Group 3 company will test at its first start in Melbourne. Was a dual nominator and I thought Adelaide was the weaker race and keen to lay her in that. In the deep end here and I hope it drowns.”

Norm Oke (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 7 #1 Hartnell

Oke Says “At his best this horse is world class. I am just not convinced he’s come up since his freshen off the first up win. He may struggle to recapture his best and seems to keep finding one or two better lately, I think that trend will continue here.”

Jonathan Walsh (VIC)

Caulfield – Race 8 #16 Catchy

Walsh Says “She’s great filly but I doubt electing to race the boys will be a winning move. Drawn the inside she’s likely to end up 4 back the fence with limited room entering the straight. With this in mind I will be taking her on.
