Every week at Betfair, On Course Bookmakers from across the country will be nominating their LAY of the week.

Get the latest LAY nominations for Saturday 10th March below.

Morphettville (Monday) – Race 6 #8 Lyuba

Walsh Says: “Well travelled in the last month and heads to Adelaide to run against the males in a listed race. Seems short for a horse with average form.”

Flemington – Race 4 #3 Eshtiraak

Swannie Says: “Been winning at midweek standard races and meets much tougher opposition Saturday with the top two (Aspect & Colesberg) coming from strong group races. $2.70 is well under the odds. ”

Flemington – Race 7 #2 Spieth

Oke Says: “Extremely tough race being a G1 Handicap over 1200m up the unpredictable Flemington Straight. It’s brought many good horses undone and this bloke has been unlucky twice. At $3.50 from barrier, one there is a massive risk he’ll get caught in traffic yet again.”

Cranbourne (Friday) – Race 8 #7 Classic Diva

Saber Says: “Filly with 57.5kg in open class for the first time. Now second up at 1200m. Needs further and think she’s a better wet tracks. Under the odds at the $2.80 mark.”

Morphettville – Race 5 #3 Zerprise Journey

Seal Says: “Form has tapered off and looks to have come up favourite because most think she will lead. Would need a complete form reversal to win now back up in class.”

Ascot – Race 3 #8 Presentatie

McCormack Says: “Has come up favourite in a race where I have Jestajingle and Regal Gleam marked shorter than it. No value at $3.20 in early market and has William Pike on!”

Doomben – Race 6 #3 Siegfried

Walters Says: “Likely to get back from the horror draw 12/12. If Lloyd pushes forward he will be posted and burn too much energy dulling his sprint. Unders.”

Rosehill – Race 1 #4 Your Way

Cook Says: “Up in weight, class and distance which is generally a recipe for failure with the exception of champions. Has been placed impeccably to date but confident her runs ends here. Happy to let the punters on!”

Rosehill – Race 7 #14 Omei Sword

Dwyer Says: “Has a mighty record and looked unlucky last start. A popular horse with punters and will be around $3.50 in the Coolmoore Classic. I am happy to lay it because it’s a get back horse drawn Barrier 19 in a very competitive race. Will need plenty of luck in running to overcome those circumstances. ”
