International Rugby Union: Saturday June 16

New Zealand v France

Saturday 16th June, 5:35pm AEST – Westpac Stadium, Wellington

Punters backing France with the big start last week were looking for the nearest bridge with Les Blues leading at halftime only to completely capitulate in the second half to endure a brutal defeat, also failing to cover the hefty start. It is time to go back for more this week. France have kept five of the last seven Tests against the All Blacks under 20 points and only four of their last 21 road losses have been by 23 or more points. None of the last five Tests at Westpac Stadium in Wellington have been decided by more than 20.

Betting Strategy

 BACK – France +29.5

Australia v Ireland

Saturday 16th June, 8:00pm AEST – AAMI Park, Melbourne

Australia ground out an impressive 18-9 win at Suncorp and can wrap the series up at AAMI Park. The Wallabies are riding a six-game win streak against Ireland in Australia and look primed to make it seven. Ireland have won just three of their last nine Southern Hemisphere Tests while Australia have lost just two of their last 10 home Tests.

Betting Strategy

 BACK – Australia -1.5

South Africa v England

Sunday 16th June, 01:05am AEST – Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein

South Africa won a thrilling first Test against England 42-39 but punters who backed England with the 3.5 start collected thanks to an Owen Farrell conversion in the dying minutes. South Africa have lost just two of their last 10 Tests at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein and have never lost at the venue to a Northern Hemisphere opponent. England’s defence was extremely worrying and it would not be surprising to see the Springboks open right up on them.

Betting Strategy

 BACK – South Africa -3.5
