Race 6 Glenlogan Park Stakes 1350m GP3 3YO+ F&M SWP $150,000

Track

Currently rated a Good 4 with the Rail in the 4.5m position, out from the 2m position at the last meeting. Probable showers leading leading up to Saturday which should see a track rated slightly worse than the current Good 4 rating most likely in the Soft 5 range. The predicted winds are moderate which should not impact. There have been only 9 meetings with this rail position in the last 1008 days. Based on the predicted conditions, the track should advantage horses racing on pace with the lanes in the straight playing even.

For Saturdays race, the R2W Early Speed Map below predicts an Average tempo.

Early Speed Map

Schism leads from a cluster of four horses that will be handy including Ghisoni, Plucky Girl, White Moss and Long Time Ago.

Race Overview

Early fixed odds markets have 5 runners single figure odds, the R2W computer has 3. At the time of writing, our top-rated selection Invincibella is under the assessed price. This is an extremely competitive and wide-open race with just 1.6L separating the top nine runners. At this stage there is little edge in recommending any runner. If you must play, then wait till close to post time and compare the assessed prices with what the Exchange is offering.

11. Invincibella: Having her third run back this preparation but hasn’t raced for four weeks. She can improve third up and is a deserved favourite although there is no edge in her current price of $4.80. In order to show her best the pattern would need to assist run on types.

7. Pedrena: Comes her from Victoria second up and can improve on her first up rating. Is around the right price currently.

16. Platinum Angel: Racing very well in Victoria and rates a wining chance here. My only concern is that she is now very deep into her preparation.

1. Foxplay: At her best she would win this comfortably. Resuming off a short 42-day spell she should settle around midfield and can be dangerous late. She is one I would promote if there is betting support on the day.

12. Schism: Looks the likely leader and gets a nice jockey switch with Damian Browne piloting. Racing consistently and can be in this for a long way.

8. White Moss and 3. Ghisoni: Both rate winning chances but at the current fixed odds of $7.00 I would suggest waiting as they can easily trade at better prices on the day.
