Almost perfect conditions forecast for todays meeting. These conditions should prove to have this track playing as fair as you would want for Cup day. Expecting all runners should get every opportunity to win here if good enough to do so.

Good level maiden race kicks off todays meeting here. Hard to split the top few selections. Have YOSHINOBU as the on top selection. The stable thought enough of this colt to debut him in a black type race. He has had a spell since and resuming trials have been strong, but he does come up against others with talent. Prefer to have no bet here to start.

Another open maiden grade race here that does look tricky to be betting into. You would think this is the best opportunity for CLASSIC POETRY to finally breakthrough for a win. Her last start run wasn’t super, but the runs prior were good. The form in this race doesn’t fill with huge confidence so not keen to bet.

Has found super form this prep having won her 2 first up runs before running into the placings last start at Canterbury. That was a stronger race than this and she drops back down in class now. She maps for run of the race up on the speed from the inside barrier, if she gets a soft lead she should prove hard to catch.

Small play on EDITED BY here who now comes into the race 2nd up which will suit. Through his career he is yet to run a drum when 1st up into a prep so should take benefit from that 1st up run and can put in an improved performance 2nd up now and fitter. He finished last prep winning twice before a solid effort at listed level. Looks suited in this grade now.

Tough betting race here in an open market. Made a good case for LADY SUPERSPY who was a good last start winner and does have a good record at this track/distance, but also thought if conditions suited front runners, AUNTY RENE may be best suited with that leading race map. Enough queries in the race have me preferring to have no bet in the race.

Low confidence betting race here. Thinking if conditions suit RUSH ATTACK will get run of the race. No wins over this trip though so may need a soft run to see it out.

MEDATSU has won 2 in a row this prep now and both in impressive fashion. He is showing to have some good upside and this is a step up in grade but his recent form suggests he may be capable. The 2100m trip looks as if it should suit him and does set him up well to take the step up in grade now.

AGE OF SAIL has had some what on an unlucky prep this time in work having run into the placings 3 of his 4 starts and has started favorite in his last 2 starts. While he didnt run up to expectation last time, you can forgive a runner for one bad run and his form prior puts him close here. He is at a good price for a small speck based on those earlier runs this prep.

Tough betting race to finish the day. Certainly looks open at the top of the market and hard to split the first few. MISS COUVER is the on top selection in the race. She is resuming off a couple of handy trials so does look well placed to kick off here and is a first up winner. But again, its a very open race so not keen to bet.
