BACK: 7. Galactic Fuiry (WIN AND PLACE) for 2 units
Liked the chances of Galactic Fury last start but the horse ran out of room at Oakbank when making a move and had to dart back to a slower lane. Still boxed on fairly for 1.9L 6th. Think the step up to the mile should suit the way the horse attacks the line. Placed only start at Strathalbyn and trialed well here at the start of the prep. Hard to beat on an each-way basis.

STRATHALBYN PREVIEW AND TIPS | EXPERT TIPS | WEDNESDAY JANUARY 15TH 2025
RAIL: +3m W/Post-400m, True Remainder | TRACK: Good 4
9. Criminal Art
13. Valieva
12. Turned Loose
4. Little Chicago
Valieva is knocking on the door and ran a good 3rd last time out but was no match for one of those Theodore runaway leaders. She’s bursting to win a race and is another that looks suited by the distance rise.
Turned Loose is racing well this prep with three second placings from the last four starts. Beaten by a potential good horse is Guru Warrior last time out. That form should stack up here.
Little Chicago made really good headway late at this track for 3L 3rd over the 1600m. Gives the impression the extra trip suits and Matthew Chadwick is riding very well.
Betting Strategy
BACK: 9. Criminal Art (WIN AND PLACE) for 2 units
Criminal Art didn’t have much go right last start when got buried back in the field and couldn’t get out a pocket. Once clear worked through the line well for 7th. Looks suited by the step up to 2000m here and previous runs this prep were very good.

1. Aramoso
6. City United
12. Empire Grace
5. Rob The Bank
Betting Strategy
Hoping Aramoso can finally breakthrough as the horse does have some talent but keeps bumping into horses that might be smart. Was hard in the market first up and ran a close 3rd. Will be fitter for that, goes well at Strath, extra trip suits and Jake Toeroek sticks the ride.
City United will find this easier than the metro 3yo MDN last start when had excuses after being slowly away then raced wide the trip. Stuck on OK for 3rd. Draws to do no work in transit and Pannell stays aboard. Deserves to be favourite.
Empire Grace ran well without much luck here on debut. Was held up for runs in the straight but still kept finding for 2.7L 6th. Will take plenty of benefit from that and like the fact a senior is going aboard.
Rob The Bank is better for 3 runs back from a spell. Like Aramoso is a surprise this horse is still a MDN. Was heavily backed at Morphettville last start but did too much work to lead and was a sitting duck late. Stuck on well for 3rd though. Like the engagement of Taylor Johnstone here.
3. Leaving Las Vegas (Scratched)
12. Our Glamour Girl
5. Petrol Head
6. Sea Roads
Betting Strategy
No bet race now with the scratching of Leaving Las Vegas. Our Glamour Girl was really good first up from a break when closing well for 2nd at this track. Will be looking for this extra trip now.
Petrol Head had no luck last start in the straight when held up in a pocket. Was OK late. Fitter for two career runs and regular rider Jake Toeroek takes over.
Sea Roads did too much work up front last start but stick on well for 2nd. She draws to do no work from the inside gate and could prove hard to run down.
4. Bellavardo
8. Red Roof
2. Alpine Beau
13. Wicked Addiction
Betting Strategy
No bet race. These mid-week staying races throw up all sorts of different winners. Bellavardo has been luckless the past two. She’s going better than form suggests.
Reed Roof races well at Strath and has turned her form around of late. Is coming off a dominant 4L victory at Murray Bridge and is well placed with the claim.
Alpine Beau won well at Oakbank last start. Best is good enough but mixes form.
Wicked Addiction was close up at Oakbank last start behind Alpine Beau. Gets back to her home track where she is a 2x winner.
14. Tyusix
10. Loca Bella
5. Absolute Stunner
7. Prince Reichweite
Loc Bella is racing in great heart and has put in two very good runs since breaking the duck three starts ago. She’s a very honest filly. Draws wide but Jason Holder is very good at navigating wide gates. Should be in the finish.
Absolute Stunner found metro racing a bit much last start. Previous two runs at this track were excellent and luckless. Loves racing here at Strathalbyn and has had a 3 week freshen for this.
Prince Reichweite is fitter for two runs back from a spell and will appreciate getting up to this 135m when he is a winner.
Betting Strategy
BACK: 14. Tyusix (WIN AND PLACE) for 1 unit
Tyusix didn’t have much go right first up when blocked for runs in the straight. Last time the horse had a visually luckless run it came out and won well the next start. Banking on that and is nicely down in the weights with the 3kg claim for regular rider Zoe Lloyd.

13. Rue Bungan
3. Eight On The Dot
6. Tokyo Run
9. Sirmaze
Eight On The Dot is racing well with 3 placings from his past 3 including a third at this track/distance last time out. Likes racing at Strath and draws for a good run.
Tokyo Run is a online purchase for the Richards/Moyle team that last ran at Rosehill before being sold. Has better form lines than the others here and goes well over the trip. Should measure up fresh over the 160m.
Sirmaze is yet to win in 13 attempts at Strathalbyn but has placed on 8 occasions. Drops back from metro grade here.
Betting Strategy
BACK: 13. Rue Bungan (WIN AND PLACE) for 1 unit
Rue Bungan is fitter for two runs back from a spell and did get through the line well last start when it was all over. Only career win came 3rd up over this 1600m trip so hoping for the same here as the horse is a big price. Likes to do things wrong when asked with the whip is the only concern. Gets in very lightly with the 2kg claim for Flick Atkinson.

7. Galactic Fury
1. In That Mode
8. Punchin
5. Monseagle
In That Mode is lightly raced and got the MDN win out the way last start. Has to step up to BM58 level but gets in nicely with the 4kg claim for Isaac Sit. Draws well and can win again!
Punchin is better for two runs back from a spell. Is a city class horse when right. Didn’t have much go right last start so is worth forgiving. Best is certainly good enough and Kayla Crowther rides the horse well.
Monseagle led and was just grabbed on the line last start at Morphettville. He races well on speed and draws to do no work here from the inside gate. Has a great record at Strath and over this distance.

9. Our Divinyl
8. Lake Agawam
14. Lucielle Rose
1. King Moya
Betting Strategy
No bet race to end the day. Our Divinyl looks ready to show best 3rd up here after two decent enough efforts to start the prep. Draws well and like the engagement of Jason Holder.
Lake Agawam is racing in great heart since joining the Liz Faust yard. Gets back and runs on strongly. Expect the same here again.
Lucielle Rose is honest and has a good record at Strathalbyn while King Moya did some good things first up over the 1050m and will be looking for this touch further.
