As Betfair continues to increase its market offering, we are excited to introduce quinella and exacta markets to the Exchange.
Exacta and quinella markets will be on offer for major Victorian thoroughbred meetings across the Spring Carnival.
Additional to this, several greyhound meetings per day across VIC, NSW, WA, QLD and SA tracks will offer exacta markets, with one of those meetings also offering quinella markets.
Quinella and exacta markets will be loaded on Betfair on the morning of each respective meeting.
what are quinellas and exactas?
A quinella gives you the chance to pick first and second place in any order. For example, you think the #1 and the #4 are the clear top chances in a race and you place a Back bet on the 1-4 / 4-1 quinella. If either the #1 or the #4 wins AND either the #1 or the #4 comes second, your Back bet wins. You can also Lay the quinella.
An exacta also requires you to pick first and second place, but you must pick them in the exact finishing order. Using the example above, a Back bet on the 1-4 exacta would require the #1 to win and the #4 to finish second. You can also Lay the exacta.
