Matt Reid was bitten by the racing bug in the 10+ years he worked for Betfair. Growing up Matt had minimal exposure to racing but spending time not only around racing, but also so many great racing minds, led Matt to focusing on the horses more seriously, specifically Tasmanian thoroughbreds. A born and bred Tasmanian, focusing on the home jurisdiction enables Matt to become familiar with the intricacies of the tracks, trainers, jockeys, and horses. Matt’s process is quite manual, a big tape watcher and then using sectionals to validate what’s on the tape. Matt does his own speed maps and finds the ability to get those right is pivotal in finding the right horses to back. Matt’s punting edge is being a specialist. Tasmanian thoroughbreds is the only racing or sporting product Matt studies seriously and over time his analysis has put him in a position where his opinion on the product is one of the more respected in the wagering marketplace.
