Star 4yo with 6 wins and 2 placings from 11 starts. Was an unlucky 3rd in the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke last prep before winning the Toorak Handicap & the Golden Eagle. Was solid first up in the Orr when not wound up, then an unlucky 5th in the Futurity, Has been set for this. Inside gate unfortunate.

Class runner. Multiple dominant G1 winner, though better over 1800m-2200m. Strong chance but beatable.

Won the Peter Young Stakes in very slow time, then plain 5th in the Australian Cup last start. Was 2nd in the Mackinnon to Zaaki last prep. Proven G1 miler but question marks now on his form.

G1 winning mare from WA. Charged home from back off a slow speed to run down Zaaki last start in the Blamey Stakes. The one to beat.

Captivant
Settled back and ran home well for 3rd in the CS Hayes +4.8 last 600m the 3rd quickest of the day. Ran 2nd beaten 0.5L in the Caulfield Guineas last prep. Forgiving run last start as doesn’t like it wet. Believe he’s the best of the 3yos on the dry over the mile.
SUMMARY
Enough value in this race to bet around Zaaki but save on him.
