Sunline Stakes Betting Odds

The Sunline Stakes is a Group Two Australian Thoroughbred horse race for fillies and mares, three years old and upwards as well as underweight conditions. The race is a distance of 1600 kilometers and the race is held at Melbourne Park each year in April. It was created in honor of a female thoroughbred named Sunline.

The race has had several other names over the years, but was renamed the Sunline Stakes after the horse named Sunline. Sunline was a champion race horse for at least 10 years, until she retired in 2007. Sunline was put down May 1st 2009 after a prolonged battle with laminitis. A memorial will be erected in her honor after she is buried.

The race course where the Sunline Stakes is held is the track at Moonee Valley Racecourse. The track is sometimes called "Money Valley" due to the unusual pronunciation of the word 'Moonee'. The track is rectangular in shape and has a circumference of 1805 m. The races are held in a counter-clockwise motion. The track also hosts the W.S. Cox Plate in late October. The Moonee Valley grandstands have 12 function rooms, which on non race-days, can cater for up to 1200 people. The track is located in the Moonee Suburbs in Melbourne, Australia.
